How to use it

Four simple steps

  1. Upload the blank XLSX file to your OneDrive and open it in Excel for the web.
  2. Set the balance before activity on your chosen opening date.
  3. Enter bills and income. Add actual payment and receipt dates as money moves.
  4. Review the dashboard and reconcile it with your account.

Debt principal and savings balances are separate from cash. The guide explains how to record the full cash movement once and update the matching balance.

Before you buy

File format and compatibility: This is an XLSX download with PDF instructions. Focused checks were completed in Excel for the web, including calculations after input edits and saved values after reopening. Desktop Excel has not been tested. This package does not include a Google Sheets template link. Importing the XLSX files into Sheets can lose formula protection and savings bars.

Manual entry: No bank connection, transaction imports, or automatic recurring entries. The tracker only includes what you record. It does not calculate an allowance until your next payday.

Capacity per workbook: 200 outflows, 200 income entries, 10 debts, 200 principal-payment entries, and 8 savings goals. The guide explains archiving and starting a new copy when full.

Amounts and printing: Amounts are dollar-formatted; there is no currency conversion. The included preview is a static sample. Excel for the web print output has not been verified.
